Join a room
Rooms are addresses too — add a room the same way you add a person.
Here's the trick that surprises everyone: rooms are addresses too. A public room looks like
roomname@conference.ready2.im.
To join one you don't "search" — you add its address, the same way you'd add a person. Some apps even list it under Add contact; others call it Join group chat or Join channel.
- Find Join group chat / channel (or Add contact) in your app.
- Enter the room's address, e.g.
lounge@conference.ready2.im. - Pick a nickname to show in the room, and join.
